No Gremlins after all.

It was just a total memory failure on my part, I completely blanked out taking the camera to the wool shop for photos of the windows.

My finally finished wip sweater, I loved it when I cast it on but now I am not so keen. I will wear it though, waste not want not.

I had intended to replace the sleeve cable with the lace pattern from the front but put that idea aside for the sake of speed.

Now for the window shots.

Easter in yarn.

A sample of some new yarns and garments knitted from them, such a good idea. It is great to see how a yarn looks in garment form, I
have had a few disappointments over the years.

Knit and natter went well yesterday, we were low on numbers but not on chatter. Jess and Ivy came along and Sophie was there as well, once she woke up and started to move about Ivy was fascinated.

Dinner was a quick stir fry, I basically sliced everything from the salad drawer that was suitable and made a sticky sauce with soy, mirin and some maple syrup, with some thread noodles it made a very fast and tasty meal. There may have been a naughty trifle for pudding.

This morning the sun is shining bright and I have hand washing on the whirlythingamajig, I had an hour in the garden and had to come in for a cold drink. Once this is posted I will be going back out, it is far too nice to be indoors and there is far too much to do.

On that note I will wish you all a good day, wherever you are and whatever you may be doing.

PS, talk about pride going before a fall, I had to tink back 3 rows of my new knit as I had SSK,d when I should have K2TOG Right in the centre front yoke. DUH I am all caught up again now though.

  1. I like your sweater very much both in pattern and colour-job's a good un! It's still really cold up here near Glasgow and I had to scrape my windscreen yesterday morning to go to my craft class. Need to get my knitting mojo back-it seems to have deserted me. I love to see all your makes, Pam, as your work is lovely. Catriona

    1. We have had a frost warning for the next few days, I hope it doesn't happen.

  2. That sweater looks lovely on the mannequin - perhaps it will grow on you. Until I read your words I thought you had sewn some ribbon to the front, then I realised it was the dress peaking through. It looks very effective. What a cheery, Spring window display that is.

  3. I, like Jenny, wondered about the peek a boo colours on the sweater. The windows look wonderful, what are the little daffodil creations in the first photo? JanF

    1. They are granny squares crocheted by Debs the shop owner, she taught herself to crochet very recently and is going great guns.

  4. The sweater turned out pretty. I can't even imagine being able to knit a sweater!! You amaze me too how you quickly put together a good meal. I can stand in the refrigerator door for an hour and still not come up with anything.

    1. Years of practice Henny, I had a good teacher in my Granny. She could get a meal on the table from what seemed like nothing in the blink of an eye.

    1. Thank you Pippa, yes it is a fall colour. When I started to knit it last year I expected to wear it that year, maybe this year.

  6. I like your sweater, maybe it will grow on you. Back in the 80's I managed a yarn store. I kept my mum very busy knitting sample sweaters with all the new yarns that came in. She loved knitting and the extra dollars she got and the samples sure helped sell the yarn.

    1. Debs has a few people knitting and crocheting for her, it really helps the yarn to sell.

  10. It's a lovely sweater and I really like the colour and I think it would also look great over a contrasting camisole or T-shirt.

    1. I did buy a t shirt to wear under it and have worn it several times. I may try to wear the jumper a bit later.
