I was up early yesterday and as the sun was shining decided to have a laundry day.
I also made Elderberry and Apple jelly and then pushed the pulp through my fine sieve and made fruit puree, it is hard work pressing it through but the end product is so good.
When I was in Button Up and Stitch on Saturday I picked up some fat quarters, I really like those little bird prints.
I found some of the cheater print in blue so had to have it.
I told you about the Cathedral Window session that I attended, well my efforts were a bit dismal but I had another go when I got home and I was much better.
This pair are a step in the right direction and I want to make a few more. Then I thought about scaling it up a bit.
This is part of my Santa Sack swap, I made 2 and Francesca has the other in her room. I am going to make several of these, a possible quilt top?.
I got my new patchwork and quilting magazine and this little giveaway was included, cute.

I made loads of bunting last year and some tree decs, I have the fabric and now I have felt, ribbon and some cute heart buttons. I will make different shapes just to keep it interesting.
I have to dash now, nearly hometime.
Toodle pip, TTFN Pam
You certainly are a busy bee Pam, and a very talented sewer. x
ReplyDeleteOh Sharon, praise indeed coming from a busy talented lady yourself. My material is lovely I have to stroke it every now and again , I just love the texture.
DeleteThose little heart buttons look brilliant for all sorts of things
ReplyDeleteI was going to buy a dozen but they were so cheap that i had the lot. I may never see them again. I have only just started to buy buttons, I have a tin full, some from my Granny, and over the years have used all the really pretty ones. I need a jumble sale, children,s cardies a a good source of buttons.
DeleteI love your Cathedral Window, Pam, such a fiddly block to make but so pretty. Lx
ReplyDeleteI was trepidatious about it and jumped at the chance of a tuition session. It was strange using a completely different machine. Once I got home I had to try it out and have fallen in love with it.
ReplyDeletePam the pincushions and pillow are really lovely; I did not realise how difficult this block was to do until I actually investigated how it was made. I think the results are very professional, although I am not (at present) tempted to have a go myself! I love buttons too, although I did a very stupid thing when we sold the house and threw some away, of course now I have started collecting again. I have been known to buy a shirt in the charity shop because the buttons were lovely - of course I will use the shirt for patchwork too! Have fun, Alison
ReplyDeleteThe first 3 that I made were a disaster, but once I got the feel for it they flew together, I have some on the to do list over the weekend.
