After the incident.

Thank you all for your supportive comments.
There was a bright side to all this.
I got to cwtch with a young man for a good while.
And he did not run away.

Not a funny situation but I managed to make him smile while he was in pain by saying that to him.

I have found him on Facebook and he only lives a little way from me so I will be in touch in a couple of days.

   Night night.      Pam

  1. After a trip to the UK including my ancestral Welsh homelands, I know what cwtch means! A lovely store clerk was over the moon to hear my maiden name as an "old, old, Welsh name and don't let anyone tell you it is English".

  2. Oh I am glad you found that young man, does he live with his parents? I bet they were pleased you were there to hug him and tell him he will be ok, have to admit I was very tearful after I read what you did.

  3. Oh.....I just went back and read it again, I forgot about his father........... have you spoken to him? I think I may well have said something I shouldn't have. I couldn't leave a message yesterday after you posted about the accident because I was so tearful.

  5. Despite the awful circumstances it was lovely that you could cuddle and make the young man smile. Hopefully he is on the mend.

  6. Oh Pam, I just read about the boy's accident. How sweet of you to handle things like you did. I can't imagine his dad not being more concerned. My job would have been the least of my worries at a time like that.

  7. When I was 17 I had a car accident and cut my head open. A lovely lady took me into her home to wait for the ambulance, giving me a soft cloth to staunch the blood. Unfortunately I wasn't able to drink the tea she was making as the ambulance men said best not in case of anaesthetic. I didn't go and thank her, probably out of embrrassment, but never forgot her kindness. So if the lad doesn't come to see you, I am sure your help is still appreciated.
