They keep my feet toasty warm and I see at least a dozen pairs in my leftovers bag. Some patterned and some plain, I have an issue with ordinary slippers and far prefer lightweight, throw in the wash ones. These fit that bill to the 'nth degree. I cast this pair on yesterday afternoon and finished them while watching the last few episodes of Stranger Things season 2.
BTW the new Wacky Races was grrrrrreat. No I haven't been at the Frosties.
I managed to walk the dogs this morning, slowly though as my temperature is swinging all over the show.
It is a warm, slightly muggy morning here, the mist took a while to clear but I have washing pegged out. Ever hopeful.
The bathroom needs a good bottoming but instead a quick clean will have to suffice, no energy to move things out and then back.
Fingers crossed that I will be back firing on all 4 cylinders next week. I get quite discombobulated when my routines are disrupted, nothing to do with OCD I am just happy to be set in my ways. They work for me and give me plenty of "me time".
I am off now to have a bash at the bathroom, the SO changed all the sofa throws and cushion covers this morning saving me a sweaty half hour. Bless.
TTFN Pam
PS. I need some small sewing projects to give me a break from some full on quilting next week, any suggestions?
Gosh I hope this ends soon for you! The slippers look fun, and as to small projects, I LOVE zippy bags, they make great gifts, and are fun to make. They use small bits of fabric and are so USEFUL! Pillowcases are great, and toss pillows are fun too. I hope you feel lots better soon.....
ReplyDeleteBingo, I can make up a pile of zippy bags in various sizes, I have a big box of zips in all colours.
DeleteI love your slippers, I desperately need to find time to knit a pair for myself, I'm wearing two pairs of socks now...it's getting so cold out and our rental is so badly insulated, the floors are cold!
ReplyDeleteHow about Christmas sewing? I'm actually trying to find some room in the budget to get some flannel to make Alex and me some pj bottoms for the winter!
They are very quick to make, I use magic loop and knit both at the same time on a 4 mm 80 cm needle
DeleteI love making these

Great for stash busting and lovely to pop in with foodie gifts. I will be making a couple of sets shortly to go with some gifts I am putting together for my daughter in law's family.
Love those slippers.
Hugs-x-
I saw a tutorial for these a good couple of years ago, I will be having a go. Many thanks. xx
DeleteYour slippers look so warm- my feet are always cold. I've been habibg a finish it up Friday with some projects finished at last. Having a clear up and then start on small Christamas gifts. Catriona
ReplyDeleteI do try to finish all the small things in the same week, if not day, that I start them. The bigger projects I make around the little things, that way I don't get fed up.
DeleteLove the slippers. What a great way to use up all those bits of yarn.
ReplyDeleteHope you continue on the mend, don't rush things or you could have a set back.
God bless.
My husband loved Stranger Things 2. He especially likes the music. That is the first series he has ever binged on. I binge on Outlander but am sad that Tobias Menzies has gone. He's a wonderful performer. Wish I could listen to him on the BBC radio series he doesn'
ReplyDeletePincushions from your scraps are easy and make great gifts...
