Shark Attack.

I woke this morning to blue skies and early sunshine, fast forward to Ben's walk time and the skies were leaden and the mountains shrouded with mist, This soon became steady rain and has not stopped all day. I had the usual Monday morning cleaning/ironing/tidying to do so cracked on with it. No sewing yet but I do have a new pet to show,

He is destined to go to Cardigan soon, I hope that Junior will be the only boy who has one.

This shot is a bit blurred but I think it has an air of menace about it.

This is clearer, I really must get going on looking for a decent camera.
The original can be found on Patchwork Posse, I struggled with the zip in such a small area, so have had a little think about it.
Now I have changed the pattern slightly and have cut out a Whale, I hope to make it up later on. This will be big enough to hold something for the Show and tell sessions at school. Then I will have to make something for Kaitlyn and Faith, must not leave anyone out.

I watched the new Poldark, it was entertaining and to me very close to the book, as far as I can remember.
I must say that watching the character Elizabeth trying to achieve a heaving bosom with nothing much to heave was amusing. I thought that Demelza was suitably ragged and bony, and didn't she wash up well.
I hope that all the Cornish Folk were not too insulted by the accents, like Norfolk it is a tricky one to emulate.

I do think that the lead actor is quite raffish and definitely tasty and look forward to watching the next episode.

Dinner is chicken and leek pie with whatever veg I have, there will be cabbage, a nice crinkly savoy.

Now I have a date with a whale.

  1. The shark is very scary! LOL he's so cute. I can't wait to see the whale. The only UK show we get here is Downton Abbey. I love, love, love it. I do hope the writers stick to the current style as any 'suspense' will have me turning it off. The history is amazing, even though I know it is a fiction based story. Well, maybe a bit of truth. This show is the only one I watch on TV any more. Stay safe

    1. I have not watched any of Downton, it just did not appeal to me. I have watched a bit more TV lately but that will stop once the spring weather is here.

  5. Great shark, Pam! Scary! I quite enjoyed Poldark too and hope it develops nicely. I agree about the heaving bosom (lack of) but wish I was that skinny ....lol...

How is the fundraising going? Perhaps you could make some sharks to sell? Actually, if you are making any more knitting needle rolls I would be interested :-)

    1. I found it a struggle for the first half, then it kicked in. Whether I will stay interested is another matter.

    1. As the design was from a blogger I would not feel comfortable in making them to sell. Perhaps when the Whale is done I will consider it, just depends on how much I change the pattern, I know that the construction method will be completely different.

  13. Brilliant shark, what a great idea. I wasn't going to bother watching Poldark, it didn't really appeal to me, but I did and it looks as though it's going to be good.

    1. I found the first half a bit slow but enjoyed it overall, I have it on series record as once the gardening starts TV takes a back seat.
