We have also had some colour in the skies of an evening, nothing spectacular as the air is so clean here.
Pretty but nothing to compare with some that I have seen.
I made a cake to take to a girls night, six of us talked the hind leg off several donkeys and watched some ancient telly programs. Had pizza, lots of tea and coffee and all the cake. Lovely.
This morning I went to Cardigan, the children are not back at school until tomorrow. I took James a boot full of logs, small stuff that a neighbour cut down last year. It all needs sawing down a bit but, as I told James, he will get 2 warmings from it.
Before i left there was a delivery, from the U.S.
Interesting.
I have watched many tutorials from the Missouri Quilt Co, and I have bough a fair amount of fabric from them. I had an email a few weeks ago, telling me that I had a large amounts of Quilters Cash Points to spend.
I had a look see at the website, hmm, what to have. Definitely not fabric, red hot postal cost, ditto thread. Ah Ha, I knew just what to have. The first 2 copies of their magazine, I am settled down on the sofa, tea at hand, Ben snoring beside me, about to ruffle through them.
I spent quite a while today playing games and running around with Junior and Kaitlyn and it is certainly time to rest.
Toodle pip Pam
ps. shame the cake is gone, I could just surround a slice.
Surround a slice! That made me laugh. X
ReplyDeleteGlad to lighten your day.
DeleteDefinitely a shame the cake has gone, I would join you in a slice! It looks lush x
ReplyDeleteOh it was lush.
DeleteCould you come and iron for Suffolk please? I didn't realise how full my ironing basket was - it's going to take me ages :-(
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmm Cake
Thanks but regretfully I have to turn the invitation down, now if you were to consider moving quite close it could be arranged ;-)
Deletethat cake looks worth trying, I hope you enjoy your magazines its always interesting to read magazines from other countries :-)
ReplyDeleteIt was just a 3 egg Victoria Sandwich, some home made fruit puree, recipe from Frugal in Norfolk, and some whipped cream. I have a few Australian mags but these are more like a book. Full of things thst I would like to do.
DeleteI've visited a few tutorials from there on Youtube. The mags look GREAT! So does (did?!) the cake. I revamped an old American recipe last week - Georgia Blackberry Spice cake - it's scrummy and I will try and put up the recipe in the next few days.
ReplyDeleteWill you visit Cardigan castle once it is re-opened? We quite fancy going up to look round.
Cake sounds great, I look forward to trying it out. I will be going to see the castle, it opens tomorrow but I am having the ears done again and Ben is off to the hairdresser.
DeleteOh that cake looks so good Pam! Hope you had a good rest - you sound like you deserved one after running round with the little ones!
ReplyDeleteIt was yummy, I am really glad that it was shared with 5 others, and 2 of those took a slice home for Hubs.
