Simple Slippers.for AKM Evans.

The little slippers that I have been knitting are Simple House Slippers by Simone A from Temple of Knit and the pattern is here    https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/simple-house-slippers

Just high lite and right click then click on the "go to" option.

I will make some more but at the moment I am using odds and ends of Aran weight and making short ankle socks for a little more warmth.

I hope this is okay, I am not very techy at all.

I am at the Flying Geese quilt shop tomorrow so there may not be a post.
I have finished the backing for the Dresden plate quilt and hope to get that basted on Tuesday.

Time to get dinner in the oven now, cauliflower and edamame gratin with  root veg roasted in honey and wholegrain mustard.

There is a pineapple and coconut sponge for pudding, if we have room.

  1. Thanks for sharing the link to the pattern. I will check it out. Perhaps this could be another small gift for the men in my life this Christmas.

    God bless.

    1. They are so quick to knit up, I use a long circular and knit both together.

  2. Your dinner sounds delicious. I use edamame beans both in hot and cold dishes and the roasted root veg are my favourite way to eat any veg. Catriona

    1. I love edamame beans and sometimes mix them with chickpeas, toss in a little oil with turmeric and roast for 5 - 10 minutes for a crunchy snack or to sprinkle on a curry.

  4. Pam you just taught me a shortcut, thanks! :) Thanks for sharing the pattern, I need an easy pair of slippers to make. I'm wearing dollar store slippers out of desperation lol...they don't last very long!

    1. You are most welcome Rain. They are so quick to knit up, I am thinking of holding the yarn double or using Aran weight for a thicker pair.

    2. Hmmm..first I've heard of holding the yarn double...would you need bigger needles? I think that would be a great idea, I only have standard size yarn at the moment and our floors get really cold.

    3. It will be a "suck it and see" experiment. I will knit the flat part in DK then repeat with Aran or 2 strands of DK and measure them. I won't go up a needle size as I want them to be a dense fabric for warmth. I will let you lmow how it turns out.

  5. Have you, or Rain, tried the free Internet slipper pattern for Kimono Slippers? They look so easy and attractive. You knit a bit "T" shape and then sew it together. JanF
