I am hopeful that it can be repaired, it is the retracting feet mechanism that has stopped working.
I am now off to Tesco for a replacement, I am not too worried as it is good to have a spare of essential items. I have a spare kettle as that is a vital bit of kit. Tea made from water boiled in a saucepan just does not cut it for me.
Anywho, before I rush off I just wanted to share my fabric from Button up and Stitch with you.
Ordered on the 12th and it arrived yesterday, 2 day delivery is a win win in my book.
This is Tea and Sympathy-Garden Party and I ordered 3 metres. I see a dress and some patchwork coming out of this.
This one is Robert Kaufman-Spot On in Pond, a delicate aqua. I have a low volume quilt planned and this will be the sashing.
Now I am off shopping.
TTFN Pam.
Fingers crossed for iron success Pam! Those fabrics are so pretty and made me think about afternoon tea for some reason! Probably the name ha ha! Xx
ReplyDeleteI have my iron, just a cheapy from poundstretchers. If my Olisso cannot be fixed I will buy another from The US.
DeleteOh no.......I would be lost without my iron.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous fabrics.
I have nominated you for the Liebster Award if you'd like to pop over to my blog and see what it's all about-x-
Thank you Sheila I will be over after I have walked the dogs.
DeleteThat lilac flowered material is gorgeous, will make a very pretty dress.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, as long as I don't steal it for a quilt.
DeleteI never knew my iron would be essential to me, but quilting made it so! Hope yours can be repaired
ReplyDeleteMy fingers are crossed. I do not mind buying a new one as that has done stirling work for about 5 years, most days for about 6 hours. What I will snarl over is the import duty, It could not happen before Fran went to New York.
ReplyDeleteHow can you say my craft fills you with envy, when you make the most amazing quilts, I would struggle to make one mediocre one, that's if I ever managed to finish one as huge as you make.
ReplyDeleteI still long to cross stitch and embroider, I have to knuckle down and clear the time to get to grips with it. I also want to knit socks but using 4 of those little pointy pins fills me with dread. I need to pull my big girls knickers up, so to speak.
ReplyDeleteShame I am not near you Pam! I have a little travel iron that could of helped you meanwhile. I find it so practical not just for travelling but for moments like these too!
ReplyDeleteHope you get it sorted :-)
keep well
Amanda xx
Ooops , I have a travel iron.....somewhere. Better search for it.
DeleteWhat a terrible start to Sunday, I have several irons from workshops and a couple of travel irons s plenty of spares, I love the floral fabric a nice fresh summer look to it :-)
ReplyDeleteI like to have spares of essential things, I ditched an iron a few months ago and just forgot to replace it.
DeleteLovely fabric!
ReplyDeleteMy iron is probably twenty years old, or more!
Still going probably to only sparse use!
I wear out irons at a dreadful rate, most quilters do. They do not like being left on for hours at a time.
DeleteBeautiful fabric, hope you manage to get the iron repaired.
ReplyDeleteHope you can get your iron fixed and your quilt finished!
