There is no rain falling on the plains of Spain

It is all falling on the UK.

I am not bothered as there is plenty to keep me busy indoors.

The Gower waistcoat is finished but for some reason my lappy won't play ball, I will try to get a photo loaded later.

There was some ironing from yesterday, all done now. I prefer to get it washed and ironed on the same day (there has been too many ironing mountains in my life already) but just couldn't get to the board and iron last night. All is clear and tidy now though.

Nothing much new happening here today, a little sock knitting, a little pod cast watching, some blog reading and comment replying. Dinner will be a veg rich pasta dish, I will either add beans or quinoa for protein (must get some mushrooms out of the freezer).

There is crumble for the SO, I may have a little myself, in the fridge. I can either zap it in the ding oven and make custard or just have it cold with cream.

The shopping list is growing, I have very little fruit and there will be next to no veg once dinner is made. I need bread flour and yeast, cocoa powder for a new vegan chocolate cake recipe to try out. There are a few non food items that have magically appeared, craft knife  and hacksaw blades for two and Gorilla glue ( there's no gorilla around here!)

Such is the excitement here now that the chaos has gone, but then most of us live fairly mundane lives.

There are the odd few who try to live their lives on the backs of others. There are the odd one or two peeps who type long, involved comments on here, if they are relevant I will post them if not I just delete.
I neither need or want anyone to tell me where I am going wrong with my life. I may be making mistakes but I am sure having a ball doing it.

Now it must be tea o'clock, if not I will just wind the clock on.

Have a good weekend everyone, the forecast is for a decent say here tomorrow.

  1. No one should tell you a thing you are doing wrong, it is your life and your blog. Speak as you wish Pam.

    1. Oh, I do. I don't mind a lively conversation but I will not be lectured.

  2. Totally agree with that 3rd last sentence, Pam. I am about to experience some very unexpected upheaval in the next few week-our central heating has finally died. Still, it's a first world problem really as we have enough to eat, an electric fire and I have stash enough for this lifetime and the next! Lashing down here in Scotland just now as well. Happy weekend. Catriona

    1. I do try to learn from my mistakes, sometimes they are serendipitous though.

  3. Yes, plenty of rain and wind here in the west country. I confess I almost never do ironing (I loathe it), but then we don't really wear clothes that need ironing. I'm sure some people might have a lot to say about how slovenly that is!

Enjoy your crumble, I like it hot with very cold cream.

    1. The only reason that I iron so much is that I can feel my Granny breathing down my neck if I let it slide. She was meticulous about it, everything was ironed on the wrong side and then on the right.

  4. Hi Pam :) I sure hope you're not getting any nasties posting comments on your blog! I had one last week, it made me chuckle a little bit as I deleted it.

You're brave for ironing...we try our best to keep an "ironing-free" wardrobe, or we just go wrinkly! :)

    1. I haven't had any for a while, I usually laugh but really I should feel pity for the writers.

  5. You could perhaps send some rain over the big pond and halfway through Canada. We are dreadfully dry here in Saskatchewan.

Sometimes I think computers develop lives of their own and decide what to allow us to do.

    God bless.

    1. I thought about Chinese but couldn't be bothered to look at the menu, never mind go and get it.

  7. Like the poster from Saskatchewan said, send the rain to us at the beach in southern CA. There are so many wildfires out there. I saw a photo on CNN of the one in southern France. Strange that you're getting the rain and it's not falling across the channel. My grandma always said that rain falls on the righteous so you must be doubly so.
Chinese sounds good. The best one delivers too!
