Me made Mat, day 2

Should call this "Winter Drawers On"  It was fairly Arctic first thing this morning.
The skirt came from a remnant that I picked up in Swansea in the first year that lived here. It is much bluer in real life.
The jumper was knit a while ago in Adriafil, the New Zealand print.

Oh Dear, look at the midriff roll. it is not all jumper you know.
They say that the camera adds on 10lbs, Could we make that Kilos.

As soon as the summer comes for more than the odd day or so I may be persuaded to shed some weight, right now I need the insulation. Well that is my excuse, and I am sticking to it.

Of course a bit later on the sun came out but I am not changing, I had a long sleeved tee shirt under the jumper so I just shed a layer.

I popped into see a friend for 10 minutes, over an hour and 2 coffees later I left to get a pair of knee high socks cast on for her. No colour choice just bright and scrappy, just what the doctor would have ordered.

I did happen upon a book, second hand of course, full of long socks patterns. Did I buy it? You betcha I did. Long socks = more yarn from stash per pair. Win Win.

Now I have the blocks to lay out for a quilt top, I would like to make a start on sewing it today.

PS. I will be casting on the socks ready for some telly knitting this evening. The sun shines in my sewing room in the afternoon so I plan on spending an hour or so in there.
